The Photo Albums -> Settings menu item opens the following screen:

When you open the Photo Albums -> Settings admin page, you will see this:

This is the starting tab of the settings page where you can switch on/off the available features.
If a feature is switched on, there is at least one 'See also' link to a tab where you can configure the feature.
These 'See also' links also appear at some settings throughout the settings page, and even in certain helptexts:

When changing settings, other settings may (dis)appear, according to the situation whether they have any meaning in the actual configuration.
Even entire tabs may appear or disappear.
To keep it comprehensive, the tabs are devided into 'Basic' and 'Advanced' tabs.
'Advanced' here does not imply extra complicated, it is just less likely that you will use them very often.

When a configuration conflict is discovered, you will see a warning message near the top of te page, including 'See also' link(s). When you click any such link, the background of the item(s) involved will be pink, rather than green when following a normal 'See also' link that points to specific item(s) on a tab.

Settings page error

When you change a setting that has a small red asterix, the page will be reloaded after changing the setting.
Since loading the settings page in version 8 is approx 10 times faster than before, this will hardly ever be an issue.

Note the WPPA+ API Version number, in this case: 6-5-04-001. This version number may be important in reporting issues on the Support forum

It is strongly recommended when you first start using/configurating WPPA+ to open the Initial setup as indicated on the homepage of this site. When you open this Table O, you will see this screen:

There are only 15 simple questions to be answered by yes or no; you may skip answers, you may change them later, or make additional specifications in all the other tables; but when you answer as many yes/no questions as possible, you will have set up the majority of features and behaviours of your wppa+ installation. Click the help ? button for additional information.

In all the other tables I tried to group settings in a somehow logical manner, but there are so many items that are related to more than one criterium that it is not always obvious where to find a setting.
To make it easier for you - at least a little less complicated - you can enter up to two keywords in the two selectionboxes at the top of the page. The settings that meet these criteria will be shown.

If you miss a setting or can not find it while you know it must be there, don't hesitate to ask me on the support forum.

Table XII is of special interest if you encounter any (server) system configuration problems; I may ask for details when you ask for support. Also, when asking for support, include a link to the page that shows the issue and make sure you have ticked Table IX-A3: Allow WPPA+ Debugging. If you are done configurating your site, untick Table IX-A3.
