3D Stereo images are double images, taken at the same time, side by side with a small horizontal distance, like the two eyes. There is a left and a right image, for the left and right eye respectively.<\/p>\n

To enable stereo images to be processed correctly, tick Basic settings -> Photos -> I: Photo specifications -> Item 2: Enable 3D Stereo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Now upload or import the double images like you are used to do with simple - flat - images.
\nThis will result in photos like:<\/p>\n

Now, if you go to the Photo Albums -> Album Admin<\/b> page and edit the album with the stereo photo, you will see a selection box in the right half of the Edit photo information<\/em> box.<\/p>\n

If you now select Left - right stereo image<\/em> or Right - left stereo image<\/em>, this is what will happen:<\/p>\n

The double image will be converted to so called anaglyph<\/em> images that will be saved in the ...\/wp-content\/uploads\/wppa\/stereo\/ sub-directory.<\/p>\n

There are several images created, because there are various ways to produce anaglyph images.
\nCurrently i have implemented 5 different algorithms and 2 types of stereo glasses.<\/p>\n

To make it possible for the visitor to select algorithm and glasstype, you can add the widget
\n3D Settings<\/strong> or put it in a box on the page with shortcode

Remarks<\/strong>
\n- If you accidently set a non-3D photo to stereo, and correct this by selecting no stereo image or ready anaglyph<\/em>, the erroneous stereo images in the ...\/stere\/ subfolder will be deleted automaticly.
\n- Due to the large amount of memory required for the generation of the stereo images, it may be required to downsize the images during upload\/impport. On this site with 128Mb server memory, i downsized to 1920 * 1080 to avoid 'memory exhausted' errors.
\n- If the creation of the 10 stereo images fails due to server time-out, don't worry, as soon as the visitor needs one that is not created yet, it will be created at that moment.<\/p>\n
