If your server has the ImageMagick<\/em><\/strong> commandline interface on board, you can use it inside wppa.
\nTo activate it in wppa, enter the absolute path to the ImageMagick<\/em><\/strong> commands in Advanced settings -> Misc -> III: External services related settings and actions -> Item 13: Image Magick<\/strong>. An initial attempt to find the external command convert is done automatically, and you will be informed about that. If you do not want to use it, enter none<\/strong> instead of the path.
\nOn a STRATO server the path is in \/opt\/RZmagick\/bin<\/code>
\nOnce activated, you can use a number of photo manipulation tools. You will find the manipulation buttons on the Photo ALbums -> Album Admin -> Edit -> Manage Photos<\/b> screen, as well as the display image.
\nThe manipulations will act upon the display image as well as the thumbnail images. To revert any manipulation, it is required that the image source file (the originally un-modified uploaded or imported file) is available, so you should have Advanced settings -> Files -> I -> Item 1: Keep sourcefiles<\/strong> ticked!<\/p>\n

An example. Say you have a photo that needs modifications.

Once uploaded, find it in the Photo Albums -> Album Admin -> Edit -> Manage Photos<\/strong> screen:

Right above the large image there is a row of manipulation buttons.
\nA few you know already of: Rotate left<\/code> Rotate 180°<\/code> Rotate right<\/code> and the two Flip<\/code> buttons. All the others are possible thanx to ImageMagick<\/em><\/strong>. The buttons act immediately (by ajax requests), the page needs no reloading.
\nFor those who are familiar wih ImageMagick<\/em><\/strong>: if you hover over the buttons you will se the actual magick modify<\/code> command options used.<\/p>\n

To begin with: it is upside down, but there is no EXIF orientation data (if it was there, wppa would have rotated the image automaticly).
\nClick the Rotate 180°<\/code> button and see the result:

It shows you the history of IM commands as well as the Undo<\/code> button.<\/p>\n

Horizon manipulation buttons<\/div><\/path><\/path><\/svg><\/div><\/div>\nOn a second inspection, you will see that the horizon in the photo is not exactly horizontal, what it should be by definition...<\/p>\n

Click the button labeled Hor<\/code> at the right hand side of the picture. This button will toggle the display of a horizontal line to help you find the deviation of the horizon on the photo.

Now click the Down button. This will rotate the image 0.5°, down near the buttons.
\nIt will also 'shave' the edges so you will not see small triangles of background near the edges caused by the rotation. It makes the photo slightly smaller.

You can go on clicking the IM buttons. If you regret an operation, you can undo it by (repeatedly) peressing the Undo<\/code> button, or, start over completely by clicking the Remake Files<\/code> button in the row of standard wppa manipulation buttons.<\/p>\n
